About Versatile Systems

We take much pride in the fact that Versatile Systems, Inc. is a complete in house installation company. Unlike many of our competitors, Versatile does not source out any portion of your fall protection installation. When we say “Turn Key” we mean it! Every single application requires engineering, design, fabrication, and training. Every portion of that process is done in our state of the art facility, which makes us very competitive. Sub contracting work to other contractors is expensive and time consuming.

When one of our technicians arrives at your business, they are not just a salesperson. That same technician is involved with every step of the process from formulating your quote to overseeing your project through completion.  This allows us to stay on top of every detail, and gives our customers the confidence that their job will be completed on time and to their complete satisfaction.

With our “in house” philosophy, we are able to maintain the tightest schedules, and meet most any deadlines. In most instances, lives are at stake if the proper fall protection systems are not present. We are able to mobilize immediately, get your employees into a safe working environment, and give you piece of mind that your employees are working safely.

Our Staff

John McHugh – Operations Manager – Co-Owner

John has worked in the construction industry for nearly 20 years.  His experience includes: residential construction, commercial construction, and studio set construction. He holds a class B – General Building license in the state of California. With extensive training in Carpentry, Welding, Concrete, and Fabrication, we feel there is not much that we can’t do. After you meet with us, we believe you will feel the same!

John will be involved in every aspect of your job from the beginning.  This includes the Site Walk through final employee training.  He is always accessible to answer your questions.     

Dan Ward – Safety Manager - Trainer

We feel that Dan is the #1 expert in fall protection, and most of our competitors will agree. Dan has written many of the fall protection standards that most fall protection companies live by today. From designing harnesses to setting new standards in fall protection training, we are fortunate Dan is one of our key personnel.

Dan’s involvement in your project begins with the initial design of your system. He has designed hundreds of fall protection systems and knows what works and what doesn’t.  Dan’s most valuable attribute comes alive during the training process. His training is second to none, and we feel that it saves lives.  After one of his sessions, you will agree!

Craig Ryan and Paul Ryan – Co-owners

As the owner operators of VER Sales, Inc., Craig and Paul have been in the rigging and safety business for almost 40 years. Their knowledge of Versatile Systems’ equipment is a great asset to our company.

VER Sales, Inc. has been installing fall protection systems since their creation.  In order to keep costs down, and give our customers the lowest possible price, Versatile Systems, Inc. was launched. Craig, Paul, and John found a way to bring their individual attributes together in order to form a TRUE “Turn Key” Company.

Versatile knows that Customer Service and great relationships are what make a great business. We want to form partnerships with our customers and not just get the quick buck. When a fall protection issue comes up, we want to be the first company that comes to mind.

Staff

We are extremely proud of our staff. Their hard work is what helped build Versatile Systems and will continue to help it grow. From our Certified Welders to our Installers, we feel that our crew is the best in the business!

We are certified installers of Guardian Fall Protection, Miller by Sperian, Capitol Safety – DBI Sala, and multiple others. Our installers have been trained directly by these manufacturers so we know your system will be installed properly.

Our staff is always kind and courteous to your employees and your patrons.  They understand that the health of our business relies on the success of yours. We will always install around your schedule, so not to interrupt the day-to-day operations of your company. Nights and weekends are not a problem. We work for you!

Our Facility

We are located in Burbank, California directly across the street from our parent company VER Sales. The ability to have our facility so close to one of the largest rigging supply houses in the country has proven to be invaluable. Although we are in Burbank, we have and continue to travel across the country to install systems. With the ability to mobilize at short notice, our motto is “Any place, anytime”.

Fabrication Shop

Our fabrication shop has the state of the art equipment needed to create the most difficult fabrications, and nothing is impossible as far as we are concerned. We have the tools to get your job done. With almost 8,000 ft of workspace, we have the ability to take care of the largest jobs.

Classroom

We can comfortably seat close to 30 students in our training classroom. This clean and comfortable space was built in the summer of 2009.

Training Facility

We are currently in development of a “Training Jungle Gym”.  This practical training tool will complement our classroom teaching by providing instructors a chance to train in a “real life” environment. Students will be able to wear the harnesses while learning in a familiar work environment.
